I'm submitting my artwork after almost 2 years...i'll be putting up paintings from my thesis (dec-jan 04-05) titled 'silencio'...i thought i'd begin with my favourite piece.
this one portrays the 'inside' of a body...both physically and symbolically.
we all have a mess brewing inside us...

Theme:
i was working on abstract expressionism. my theme was based around something that i have experienced very intensely. When things are boiled up inside too long, too much rage is generated. apparently catharsis lies in the outpouring of the soul.
i feel otherwise...an outpour is a dirty dirty explosion of more rage, frustration, noise and blood.
i had so much inside me that i could not sit in my studio and think and plan. i would close in my studio space. and start working on a surface with all my materials lying around me...
the experience has been by far the most amazing frenzied trances that i have been in. non
inspired...almost always!p.s. crappy photo quality

medium: acrylics, emulsion, crayon, pencil, metal tools, hands, a crazed up mind
dimensions: 4 x 8 ft. (yes it was crazy tall for me.. im only 5'2"!!)

im making some new stuff and hopefully ill exhibit by the end of this year..or maybe next year.

I like your painting and it's crazy, because we all have inside this framework, without we couldn't live, but to see it without the hull (body) it looks scary.
Sometimes when I look in the mirror I wonder how my skull looks like, but think I never have the chance to see my own skull in the mirror

it's too big and it hates exercise and moving about.
