Theme:
i was working on abstract expressionism. my theme was based around something that i have experienced very intensely. When things are boiled up inside too long, too much rage is generated. apparently catharsis lies in the outpouring of the soul.
i feel otherwise...an outpour is a dirty dirty explosion of more rage, frustration, noise and blood.
i had so much inside me that i could not sit in my studio and think and plan. i would close in my studio space. and start working on a surface with all my materials lying around me...
the experience has been by far the most amazing frenzied trances that i have been in. non
inspired...almost always!

I can identify so much with that feeling and the emotions conveyed by the painting. It goes so much with my life as of late, and the complesity and simplicity of it are just... astounding.

its hard to actually reaaaaaally look at most of the things on DA, especially with images of artwork other than digital.
it IS meant to be a human skeleton because it represents the inside of my mind, body and soul, and so it was very symbolic. im so soo glad that you saw it!

this reminds me of egon schieles seft portrait... although they look nothing alike. in his self portrait he looks filled with rage and with your painting it looks like you bursting out with rage.
