Original characters are such good things. One of my favorite things about having original characters is that they can become sociable with other people's original characters, creating your own personal "crossover" with friends. Even if your friend happens to be across the world and you know them from DA, your characters can be standing next to each other. For this particular drawing, though, I'm lucky that ~Themis13 's characters and Sophie and Lucas can be good friends, and that she and I are such good friends in person at SVA too.

This is in some ways gift art for her. My friends and I sometimes draw in each others' sketch books, and ~Themis13 drew her characters Heather and Thomas in mine. It occurred to me that it was kind of like Heather and Thomas had come over into Sophie and Lucas's territory for a visit, and so I drew all four of them... well, picking on each other. In a loving way. No one seems to be picking on Heather, though, actually, which seems to be appropriate anyway. Sophie will get after her for taking her hat.

~Themis13 was eager that I color it, so I started earlier this week. I feel bad since I really made her wait on it because I thought I needed to shade it, but when I added some in, I realized I preferred the flat colors. Oh well, here it is now! Starting from the top down, Heather, Sophie, Thomas, and Lucas.
