Description Hehehe...This was another concept for a children's book I was doing. This one I had written about my daughter and my cat michael who hear strange noises in thier room at night, and decide to investigate it by traveling into a strange realm under thier bed. Olivia usually dons some sort of weird attire like this, (pot holders, underwear on her head, brightly coloured toe socks, and her blankey as a cape ...it's quite cute actually seeing her running around like this.) In the book, Olive is assertive and brave, though mikey..hehe..mikey on the other hand knows that the monsters are hinkering for some kitty stew. As they go under the bed, they meet a creature that's contrary to his title. The Monster, Hawthorn Thickleberry. Well, needless to say, they all bond and at that point I was going to write a series of stories about the adventures of mikey and olive in monster land (it's the best name I could come up with at the moment) and all the weird and strange things they see and do there.

Coloured in adobe photoshop and inked on the couch while watching care bears.

(yeah, I screwed up on the lighting a bit since the setting sun is behind her, but in the story she's following strange lights in the darkness that turn out to be the nose of a particular character.)

LOL. This looks awesome! Mikey has a kind of "Bill the Cat" look going for him there. LOL

It's cartoony, so the lighting works well. With some heavier dark tones though, you could really give it some ominous characteristics.
Can you imagine Olive's ego as we read her a story... about her? On the other hand, it's a perfect representation of coming to terms with her Animus.
