That looks impressively realistic to the original Kikuchiyo. I looks surprisingly similar to metal for foam board. I take it you spray painted it?

White glue? So is that supposed to be a name of some kind of spray paint or is it just literally, white glue? haha.
If it's the latter, it sounds really difficult to apply it evenly, but I can see how doing so effectively makes the craft foam look less porous(or foamy) and more solid-- like metal.
I wonder if I should try that for the Hakumen armor...

there is a drawback tho. it leaves
leathery wrinkling after it takes physical
damage. I am still looking for a way to overcome that.

Ah, good point. Wouldn't it be easier than to just apply a layer of paint over the craft foam-- and then spray it with some finish, if necessary?

u can try. gonna give some tips:
think craftfoam as a very fine piece of spondge.
add paint, it soak up some paint.
what happens when it soaks up too much and dries up?
