sometimes when I'm out skating I'll throw a holga in my backpack cuz it's light. in new orleans and I see this... then this old lady gets off a bus. It was frikking hot. helped her carry those groceries home. she had a lot of cats. I fed them with her. she gave me a donut and some cans of cat food to say thanks. ... I had a photography teacher who always said that a good photographer always carried a camera of some sort with him. Congrats on the shot, even with the subject matter - it's composed extremely well.

the car in the background.... i cant say anything i am just sad that this is still a problem and now Hurricane Gustav has hit.... i think New Orleans has suffered enough really

I wont say the imperfections of the holga added to this picture, but I guess without them it probably wouldn't have happened.

i don't like to take my digital out and about all the time, it's a little bit big too.. i think you're right about the photograph, it's nice that you've got something almost poetic in there, someone who is so used to seeing these things in her lifespan she's no longer affected..
