Description Finally, Ma Vlast lent me his N.a.z.y. Handbook ... I scanned a few pages for you ... The notes in italics are his, and there was even an old photo as a bookmark.
This is the second edition of the handbook, the following editions are more detailed and fierce. At the time of the comic (11.034) the X edition has been released.
For the people who are reading the comic: of course you don't need to read this word for word!
I submitted this just to give a general idea of the cultural background.

I always wanted to do a "Pseudobiblion" (i.e. a book within a book), but never had the chance. The recent enthusiasm of for the "Pseudobiblia" to prompted me to do it now.
Hint: If you do not know what "imaginary books" are, here you'll find a nice list: [link]

This totally doesn't remind me of anything.
Especially "final solution part".

This is exactly the point... The above is just a little help to jog someone's memory ... Not all people seem to remember a "certain thing"
Thank you for your comment!

I agree - some people totally need a reminder.

You're welcome!

I haven't read your comic, but I find this pretty goddamn awesome in itself. For some reason the "ink commentary" does it for me. Very well made. It makes want to read that comic quite a lot, actually. Alt-hist with a fantasy touch?

The language is spot on for Nazism, I think.

Thanks a lot for all the kind things that you said...
I would rather say "with a symbolist touch"... even though the presence of hybrids may be misleading... They are there not because they are cute (are they? ), but because they are the symbols of some very interesting concepts...

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Belazikkal In reply to truepoetryneverdies [2012-06-03 17:27:17 +0000 UTC]

Well, maybe moer science fiction then if the hybrids are supposed to be symbolic of something. Though I did figure that it might be the case. One never knows on dA though.

Correction...
Is that just a political way of saying 'chop off the bits that aren't human'? That's so disgusting.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

truepoetryneverdies In reply to Colecanth [2012-06-03 16:36:16 +0000 UTC]

I think you guessed right my dear! ...Honestly I haven't yet succedeed in drawing a single "correction"... Even if it is just a fictional story... each time I try, I lose heart...

I love the little insigts to your comic's world. It's cool when there's more than just the story.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

truepoetryneverdies In reply to GSnail [2012-06-03 16:28:06 +0000 UTC]

... honestly sometimes I have more fun doing this kind of things than drawing the actual comic in itself!

When I was at school, teachers got angry with me at oral tests because I always got lost in a sea of pointless details and wandered aimlessly never reaching a conclusion... Finally it seems I've found someone that appreciate my mental roaming!! Thank you my dear!

Compliments! You understood 100% right the meaning of "correction"... Yes I think i should do that part too.. but it is not easy for me! I'm the kind of person that faints when sees a drop of blood... but I'll do for sure someday...

Oh, so that's how 'The Duke' looks like~ o3o (or looked like, seeing it as its volumes prior, he could be older now >w>'' )
It's really interesting book~ >W< Makes me tempted to make a similar one o3o~ Hehehe >W<''

Thanks a lot for commenting...
The duke looks like who? You didn't say it! I'll tell you: I shamelessly copied him from the Loki fanarts that flood DA in these days... I've never see the movie, but I've been told that he is a bad guy... so I though it fits nicely in the role...
For the "book", as some people asked me for a tutorial about doing "fake old-looking books" I think I'll do one... maybe it will be useful for you too, when you'll do a similar one...

Law XD I did notice the familiarity, but didn't wanted to tell it ewe I guess it suits XD
And i saw the movie last week XD Loki is the bad-guy, but rather misunderstood >w<'' Well, he's more or less Nordic mythology god too XD If more precise - bit modern Marvel version of Norse God Loki >w<''

Oh, i would love to see that tutorial~ >W< Might pick some useful things for sure OwO

Interesting to see their thoughts on such creatures and Ma Vlast's notes are rather interesting as well .w. I don't see him as one that particularly hates the hybrids but fights against them because he loves his country and is afraid to be pegged as a coward or hybrid lover if he doesn't

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

truepoetryneverdies In reply to PervertedBoyFuruchi [2012-06-07 19:12:44 +0000 UTC]

You are a psychologist!
Yes ma Vlast is exactly the kind of person that behaves trying to please others expectations rather to think by himself what is right or wrong...
I think there are a lot of people like him... don't you think?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

PervertedBoyFuruchi In reply to truepoetryneverdies [2012-06-11 06:58:15 +0000 UTC]

XD not a psychologist just a teenager .w. see these things a lot in school.
And yeah unfortunately there are not many that would follow the path not normally taken simply because they'd rather be like everyone else.
=w= my motto to live by is "take the path less traveled for it shall make all the difference." Smart huh?

truepoetryneverdies In reply to DragonStrider [2012-06-01 16:32:46 +0000 UTC]

It is easy my dear! I'll tell you my secret recipe..
Ingredients:
- old paper textures (you find plenty of them in the web)
- a nice old-looking font (the one I used is called smithy-faded)
- pictures

Layer all the ingredient in this order:
texture - pictures (90% opacity with blend mode on multiply, or color burn if preferred) - text..

taaadaaa!! Done!
I'm eager to see your maps now!!
