If there was no electricity our home would be very bright in the evening anyway because my husband collects old oil lamps. Here is one of his favorites.9mm mechanical pencil.

your husband may can get collects more oil lamp in the city of yogyakarta, many place for hunt a old lamp there, and some people there was still use it
