My interpretation of the new Spyro look in Skylanders Spyro. (improvement by the majority) Many hate it but I'm unbiased until I play it. Then I judge it.Yeah...still trying to learn how to draw in a cartoon style

Probably the best drawing of spyro from skylanders i've seen so far. But most of the drawings i've seen of him is mostly just jack wagons hating on him.

Well true Spyro fans dilike the new game. Some of us just dont want to see that crap filling up the Spyro section in deviantart. I believe it should have its own catagory called skylanders so real Spyro fans dont see that junk when they want to the real Spyro drawings from real fans!

TLOS might have made a good book or movie, but its gameplay is shit. Real Spyro fans would be taling about the original if they were talking about good spyro games.

Excuse me. The Legend of Spyro does not have shitty gameplay. And no we r not your so called "story drunk idiots." And I love the original Spyro games as well. At least the Legend series Spyro looks like Spyro and not some piece of fucking shit that a desperate gaming company came up with so they could get some money in their pockets! So leave us True Spyro Fans alone!

I get that its perspective, and i like to respect opinions, but for Christs sakes, Skylanders is not saten. and if you have played the original spryo games, then you should know that the platforming and even the combat was far more flowing then the legend of spyro's take on it. The graphics do look pretty nice in the games but because of that in LOS its hard to locate platforms to jump too because it all blends together. and after the first LOS the companies just seemed to stop giving a damn and the elements that made the game fun just became crap to be used for the already clunky platforming. and combat is just horrible, in the classics you could at least charge forward and take out whole loads of small enemies in a short time, LOS doesn't have that and instead you need to knock away at one AND ONLY ONE enemy at a time. sure you could use your elements, but once your magic runs out what are you going to do then huh?
Oh god why am i arguing with a fan? Pretty much all fans I've seen are downright unpleasable who will pass opinions of games being bad when all they see of the game is just the box art. You probably haven't even PLAYED the damn game so you have no right to call it a shit pile. now unless you want to start handing me proof of skylanders being crap other then "its a sell out" then take your whining somewhere else.

Ok, for the first part my brother has the game and it downright sucks. Theres nothing wrong with the legend games. So I respect the fact that you are one of those skylander liking snobs who hate all the other Spyro games just because they dont have little toy figuriens. You also cant take it when someone comments on a skylanders related item so you go and attack them cause youve got nothin better to do. Okay, for the record, I fucking LOVE the first TLOS and the classics. so that excuse is just an opinion. and even if i loved the TLOS games, that wont make me say that there is nothing is wrong with the legend games. go back and play TEN and then come back here and tell me theres nothing wrong the legend series... no, really. I have played all three games in the series and love them. There is not one Spyro game that ive played that I dont like. And dont say skylanders is a Spyro game because its not. Spyro is no longer the main character which is a very strong point considering that he was in all of the other Spyro games. Hes 1/32 in skylanders. Dawn of the Dragon he is shared 50/50 with Cynder which is fine with me. While all others except for maybe the third original where you have to play as sg. bird, shela, and I forget the yetis name. I know it starts with an h though. But anyways you only play as them here and there. All the others its just Spyro. Now is that good enough for you.

Okay, true. true. that is a nice point. the focus is no longer on spyro, which does call into question why they added spyro in the subtitle of the game. Now how about the actual gameplay?
I'm not actually here to argue with you as to whether Skylanders is an actual full blooded spyro game. I'm hear to try to point out whether the game is good at the core or not.

Another reason that I hate the game so much is that they cancelled the Spyro movie and then said they were going to make a fourth game in the legend series but went and made skylanders. Thats what really makes me angry. I would of been completely fine if two characters were not in the game and it was just called skylanders. U know which two im talking about. (Spyro and Cynder) I think there would be less annoyed fans and just as many or more people buying the game. What do you think?

Well, I'm not exactly sure the movie would have done well... Games that are based off movies almost never turn out good, and i don't want to know if it works in reverse as well. the fourth game... i probably would buy it just to see the story continue, I'll give it that. and perhaps your right on your idea of not including Spyro and Cynder keeping the fans from going banana, Makes me wonder if activision is running out of ideas. But the inclusion of spyro helped grab my attention, so there might be less buyers.
If i were to gripe on one of Skylanders mechanics, its the leveling system. Because it always results in grinding, and if you farm the boss of one level you could get all the upgrades very fast. LOS had this problem too, because EVERY leveling system results in grind.

Yea. Ive heard a lot about how the movie probably wouldnt of been that great, but hey, I would of gave it a shot and it could of turned out great if they would of followed through. I first found out about the movie in November of 2010 and became very excited. Then while browsing I stumbled apon an article saying that it was cancelled and that broke my heart. I then noticed the idea of the fourth game in the legend series and was cheered up by that. After waiting awhile and keeping up with the news I found out that they took a whole new route and created skylanders. The first picture that I saw showed the skylanders version of "Spyro" and it said something around it. But I cant remember what it was, but it wasnt good/positive. So you can see why I really was dissapointed and why I have a strong dislike for the game. Many Spyro fans and I would of been much happier if they made the movie, made the fourth game in the series, or not included Spyro and Cynder in skylanders. But hopefully in the future they realize how many people they made angry and revise Spyro and make him, him again. I think it would be awsome if they bring back the original Spyro games, but with upgraded graphics. Maybe change a few things in the stoyline but basically keep it as close to the old games as possible. I think that would be pretty cool. A twist I had come up with and some people would like while others would probably be unhappy that they would have to wait till their older to play would be an M rated Spyro game. It would have the same style used in dawn of the dragon, but there would be blood and gore when you rip enimies apart. And Spyro and Cynder would show battle scars as they take hits. Also I was thinking of a love scene in the game as well. But thats my thoughts on that. Its probably never going to come true, but its worth talking about and getting opinions. So tell me what you think and give me some of your ideas if youve got any.

I am dealing with it. By bringing together people that despise the game. It sucks so bad. Cheesy sayings, the creaters of toy story made the storyline, and "spyro" is just not Spyro. Activision just does not care about the gamer and Spyro fans. All they did was made the game, slapped Spyros name on it just so people would buy it wasting their hard earned money on something that is only worth $20 at the most for everything. Its only so they could make money for some of their other stupid games.

for me the skylanders' problem comes with characters but everything alse in the game (grapics,gameplay,story,etc) are all fine
the main reason they changed hoy spyro looks because spyro's owners (sierra) selled spyro to activision
