FINALLY! After so long, it finally opened.

This is Bond Street (ボンドストリート), the problematic Elizabeth Line Station that took forever to finish. The station opened on October 24th but I visited the station on the first day of through running on the Elizabeth Line, which was on Sunday, in which trains from Abbey Wood now run the whole way to Reading (読む) and Heathrow (ヒースロー) whilst trains from Shenfield (シェンフィールド) now go into the Core but end at Paddington (パディントン). Bond Street is located between Paddington and neighbouring Tottenham Court Road (トッテナムコートロード).

Similar to Liverpool Street and Moorgate (リバプールストリートとムーアゲート), Bond Street has two entrances. One into Hanover Square (ハノーバースクエア), where you can walk to Oxford Circus (オックスフォード・サーカス) tube station, and another on Davis Street (デイビス通り), which is where the access to the London Underground is provided. The entrance from here has a giant ticket hall and sighs on the walls and ceiling of the interchange level, written as, “From Under The Glacier, Reflect From Your Shadow.” (「氷河の下から、あなたの影を映しなさい。」). Architects included John McAslan (ジョン・マカスラン) and Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands (ライフガードデビッドソンサンディランズ。).

In terms of Interchanges, passengers can change here for the London Underground’s Central and Jubilee Lines (セントラル線とジュビリー線). Both of these two lines also serve Stratford (ストラットフォード) similar to the Shenfield branch of the Elizabeth Line, but the #PurpleTrain is faster than the Red Train and Silver Train, since the former stops at more stations whilst the latter serves the South Bank and Docklands before getting to Stratford.
