I Have a question, how you do the shades (I Use Photoshop c6)

My shading technique is a bit weird, but after a while with working on it it's pretty simple!
1. Make a new layer, right on top of the color layer. Your colors must be flat.
2. On your new layer, which we'll call the "shade layer", use a very blue color and the default brush to draw in your shades. It'll look similar to cell shading.
3. Use the eraser tool set to 50% opacity and SLIGHTLY trim off the edges of your shades. You'll know if it looks right if there's a very small "ridge" between the not-shaded area and the shaded area.
4. Set the layer's type to multiply.

Quite like them. ^~^
There's deff a party appeal to their appearance, with their bright colors and cute designs. Somehow they remind me of both the New Year dragon puppet and a Pinata.
