Description
I shot this on a recent trip to the Mexico Beach, Fl. area, where we met up with and his loverly wife Audra. It's the first time we (*LadyAliceofOz ) and I met her. She is one of the funniest most delightful people you could ever want to meet!
Anyways, John and I were up the beach shooting stuff while Audra and Alice were at the other end looking for shells, and Alice doing a bit of shooting as well. This one Pelican was hunting for dinner (or lunch) and I wanted to catch him actually "doing" something. Here. he is taking off after resting a bit on the water.
I shot this with my 70~300mm Tamron lens, which isn't the greatest piece of glass, but on bright days it does a respectable job.

This shot is dedicated to and his loverly wife Audra... We had a lot of fun, even if the sunsets were not very cooperative!
