The Birds!In fact, this was a bit scary. Alice was feeding the birds and they literally were swooping in all at once, occasionally touching her hair with their webbed feet. I was shooting pretty madly as I wasn't that far away. I have several frames of individual Gulls that really aren't that fabulous. I liked this one though, because it shows movement in the wings with a little bit of motion blur, but sharpness in the body and head area.

i think its so cool how the camera lens clearly captures the body of the birds but blurs the wings; gives it character and motion even though its a photo. ^^

I wanted to allow a little motion blur just to give it the "moving" effect. That's not always easy to plan on.

You're welcome. I think this one turned out good I have tried something like this before and it came out grainy instead. It could be a technological disadvantage but the main thing is I like seeing how it can really turn, it kind of seems chaotic without overwhelming colors.

I was also shooting in bright light with light reflecting off the sand. I was using a Nikon D80 with my 80~200mm f.2.8 lens, as well.

Thats cool, I'm excited I am actually starting to understand that, although I do not have that myself yet. My camera is is not friendly with light but still takes nice clear pictures Canon SD350 but I cannot change lenses or anything, so I have to do lots of post editing unless the day is really nice to me, which feels really rewarding when that happens
With that in mind I get what you are getting at, nice creativity can really amplify a picture despite a bad situation, this picture certainly proves that
