Is it me or is that when I first looked at Chara's tail I immediately thought they were a Succubus/Incubus. But when I read that they were Half-demon I was like:

Oh wow haha, well while that is a type of demon no they aren't a succubus/incubus (⌒▽⌒; )ゞ
I actually didn't think of that when I was drawing out some designs for Chara, I was just thinking of how i should make the wings look and if i should make their horns small or longer etc.
The tail with their soul at the end was just something I for sure wanted to implement in the design for them ^ ^

Also basically I'm working on an Alternative Universe of Undertale only I am playing around with the swap human versions of them ( ´ ▽ ` )
I have more info about the AU on my tumblr, but it is basically that humans were banished to the underground by demons.
Chara, who is a half demon has been living on the surface along side the other demons for years now. Half demons like they are weren't banished to the underground with the humans, but were instead kept to be servants to full fledged demons. Chara has always wondered what life would have been like if they had been banished to the underground with the humans, so one day they decide to go see if there really are any humans living in the underground because they want to be apart of the human society because they are tired of just being seen as a slave/servant.

And considering i'm still coming up with some of the concept it takes a bit of time..XD
because im trying to decide on the roles each character will play in this AU
as well as decide on some human designs which is pretty hard because there are already plenty of human designs of them out there already

You know the green soul? It represents "kindness" Make them the Toriel type of character (CHARActer). And maybe make the adult's like the take-it-all bullys of the underground (make only a few nice). Oh, final suggestion. Maybe make chara highly criticized for being half-demon. Thanks for listening.
