I like the amount of detail you put in to this - it seems like t wasn't easy when done by hand.
I'm not sure what the scenario is, but I can imagine these fellows marching on a town of surface dwellers and taking revenge for overfishing of their shallows. Cool stuff!

Thank you. All of the ink doodles were done with no references pictures, and in pen with no possible correcting of mistakes. This scene is from one of my original stories that is currently in progress, but this is one of the iconic moments in it. The sea trolls never actually come to the surface willingly; they eventually dry out in air and are quite uncomfortable out of the water. Here they are attacking their age-old enemies the goldfins, who live at the bottom of the ocean, so this battle takes place in the deep sea. In reality there probably wouldn't be much visible light at all, but that doesn't lend itself to illustration.
