Paras is one very interesting pokemon. Actually it's zombie pokemon, with body overrode by parasite mushroom. Amazing.Paras reminds cicades a lot.

My thoughts exactly! The Pokemon Paras is the mushroom, parasitizing the insect Pokemon Nincada. Great minds? Great minds.

The bug who's body gets petrified actually is based off of the nymph form of a cicada I believe. I wouldn't think it's the same as Nincada thought. Still that is beautiful. ^_^ I actually really like paras.

It never occurred to me, but I noticed from your painting that the base for Paras resembles a nymph cicada - in fact it looks like the husks they leave behind in the summer when they metamorphose into adults.
Thought that was cool. You did a good job.

That actually makes a great point... this could be Nincada. The Pokémon was based off of a real fungus that controls ants. The final evolution of Paras looks completely zombified with the milky eyes and the giant mushroom. A very interesting thing. Amazing work btw!

Suggestions aren't considered, sorry. I do those drawings with my free will, whenever I want to and I choose pokemon I want to experiment with. Unless someone would like to commission me.

slightly redo the mouth actually to a four piece mandible. i know my insect anatomy. plant eaters have two large palates on top and bottom to grind food while the sides are like food pushers making it enter the mouth. inside the mouth is a host of specialized things that chew food and push food done.

The mouth should be on the bottom of the head if I would be too realistic. Or it would be not revelant to original Paras head, if I would do the mouth in your way. I know insect anatomy as well.

Then wouldn't it have been better if you drew mushrooms growing from the inside of Parsect instead of on top of its back?
That's what I think but I don't know much on the subject of biology. So, I know very little about the growth of fungi and the body structure of an insect.
