It was sunny but the water was cold. There weren't many people in the water.

no you just catch the waves with your body.

No, You ride the top of the wave with you body all the way into the beach. It is heaps of fun. Sometimes if the surf is big though you have to watch out for dumpers. Nothing worse then eating sand.

I had to climb up a nice steep hill for this one but it was definately worth it. I loved that some birds flew into the picture too, very convenient.

Went to the cinema last night , saw a film called Sunshine Cleaning, perhaps not one for your Mum but an excellent film , it's by the same producer of Little Miss Sunshine.
If you haven't seen it then it's well worth it.

I thought this site was to do with photography and had nothing to do with the cinema .. oh well whatever.

I am off to Moreton Island in 3 sleeps time. I am so excited!!! We have an action packed day planned. There is about 17 of us going for Dad's b'day!!! I can't wait!!!!

I have just looked at the map Karen ...WOW !! or what, fantastic, you are so lucky.
My niece Natalie lives in Brisbane, I'll explain a little , my parents were British , My younger sister Shirley married a French man and they live in Saint Cyprian Plage , France which is on the mediterranean sea. Natalie who is French came to London to learn to be a nurse , while she was in London she met her now husband who is Australian , they moved to Brisbane about two and a half years ago. Oh and bye the way my wife Lya is French and my brother and family ( all English )live near a place called Peznace which is in the south of France.
Don't I go on ... I'm sure you will get used to it ... or atleast I hope you will get used to it!!!
Morton Island looks like paradise island from the photos that I have just seen on the internet , I hope you have a wonderful time .. it makes me think of my summer holidays in three weeks time when my family and I will be off to Crete, I can't wait
We went there three years ago and it was beautiful
