I'm heading over to WA for the first time in September. After that I need to visit Tasmania so that I can say that I have been to every state and territory

I was working over there in the Banksia country around Dongara in Oct/Nov/Dec 2000. And the wild flowers were awesome. The Christmas tree that flowers over there is very beautiful! Watch out for the wild bees though. They are a little fiesty. The pinnacles are a must see if you can at Sunset with the ocean in the shot. I didn't and regret it.
King Park in Perth is a beautiful park overlooking Perth city also a must! I have been told Rottnest Island is also a great day's adventure. You will have fun I am sure regardless!
Tasmania is definately worth a trip. You will have to go!!!

The Pinnacles is definitely on my list for a sunrise and sunset. We will be heading up to Kalbarri for a few days to meet another deviant member and then taking our time coming back down the coast.

I am so jealous!!! I really wanted to visit Exmouth while I was over there and snorkel and dive the reef. I will have to go back!!! I will look forward to your photos of WA

I was working on a seismic mining crew at the time and this was a sunset from our mobile camp.

It was. I used to travel all over Australia. Wherever they said I had to fly to. But I worked 12-14 hour days doing hard manual work often in very hot places. The last job was in the Strzelecki Desert in Summer. It got up to 50 degrees. Very hot. Just the reflection off the ground burnt you. I don't do this job anymore, but it was fun for a while. But got to see some beautiful remote places.

wow, it sounds really interesting !! It is good to have interesting job .... But I can imagine well, your job is very hard and difficult. In every case, Australia is beautiful country ... !!
