this reminds me of the online comic "kevin and kell": some people in that comic become "domesticated", and are looked down on...and only someone who IS domesticated would react this way!
Kell was worried that she would get fired if anyone found out she had this "problem", but fortunately it turned out her boss is ALSO domesticated, so they both had to keep it quiet.
