I sketched this out in art history today and decided to throw some colors on and share it. I thought dopey tom-boy 8 year old Diesel was too adorable not to post. That's Capp on the left who might not be recognizable because she hadn't cut and died her hair at this age. It's kind of nice though cause you can actually tell she's supposed to be Hispanic. And then there's Phil who has shown up in a couple of the sketch-dumps.The stand-out of the picture though, is definitely prototype wind-up Rickets at the bottom.
Anyway, figuring out what your characters looked like as kids is always fun. I've gotta post some picture of fat little Rittz at one point.

Diesel's pose is really dynamic. I've been trying to do that angle...but it's just to hard. Very well done.

A very cute and interesting take on your upcoming project with representing them as children. What's interesting about this concept is how different the style is as a pose to the older more recent concept. The way you express them in a block format is interesting, makes them feel simple and rather loveable at the the same time. There is this anime charm in this format in that you can connect with the style easily and to see them grow along the way.
See them animated would be an interesting thought or to see them in their teens and if not later their elder years for a hoot.

It's always interesting to see how the characters of any story were before the point you start watching them. I love it when they are almost unrecognizable, or you can't tell right away who they are, cause that puts more background to the character's profile.
