I may not know much about art, but i can appreciate that you drew something rather unique looking and i would guess you spent a lot of effort making it look "natural" which works perfectly. The plates on the side revealing the red color is very interesting in particular.

I can't say it has much impact with me but that's only because this feels like a concept that's yet to be fully realized. If this was more fleshed out and visceral i think i would love it.

That said i may be using your picture in a little choose your own adventure thing i'm making and i found this picture while looking for large worms so thanks for that.

Can I add these to my personal token cards? Thanks in advance, even if I can't.

"Guys stop screaming; you're scaring her!"

Sand worms only attack when they feel threatened, after all.

Oh...my... ...just the monster and foreground!!
Although, I think the sky is a little odd with the rest of the piece... and I think the head-"neck" area could use a little more contrast...
Are these Hellions illustrations for magic cards????

yes they are for magic: the gathering, glad you like it
it's bit blurry to simulate movement and not as contrasty because you are not up close and atmosphere perspective , and the sky is kinda simplistic but I guess I wanted to make sure that the focus in on the subject and action ( it does need a gradient though). and if you squint your eyes you will see that there is the a good amount of contrast between the hole of the mouth (dark value) , the mouth where the teeth and fingers (lighter value) and the neck (darker value), dark / light / dark . This helps the overlapping of shapes. I hope what I wrote makes sense

It makes perfect sense actually. Yeah I noticed the contrast in the mouth, the mouth is awesome. I get what you're saying, I think I'm just more drawn to pieces with high contrast. lol
