It's one thing to say that this work is not up to par with what we expect from the studio's quality and another to say that this "sucks". Yeah like katizua said when you post something here it's silly to expect to have glowing praises all the time but having said that would it really be any trouble to anyone to explain why you disliked the piece? Criticisms are welcome for the most part but wouldn't it be better if you could at least tell the artist what he should improve upon? Just my $0.02
BTW, I still think Chamba is a great artist.

yeah, I have to agree with some of the complaints, I dont think that its a bad drawing at all, but I wouldn't call it proffesional quality work.

If you check the artist's website, she/he's actually not bad...this peice doesn't show otherwise, however.

holy shit you people are harsh. can I pour you all another cup of haterade? thirsty? holy shit@ the guy does one bad piece and you are ready to trash not only him, but all of udon? everyone calm yourselves. if you don't like something, no need to announce it to the community. It's like you were waiting for months in order to hurl some insults and I bet you feel all warm and tingly now.
check chambas site and you will see that he is a good artist so chill the fuck out and keep your insults to yourself....sorry for the rant but stuff like this pisses me off...

A crit is a crit. When you post your art in an open forum there will always be positive and negative.
There is a difference too btwn 'it s$%^s' and serious things to improve on. I seriously hope the artist reads the comments here and changes the peice for the better with the constructive criticism before the client views it.

Your deviant art even as a portfolio is much more impressive than this peice. Perhaps the solution lies in just getting into the art a director is feeding you. Make it fun and enjoyable instead of work? I find unless I can find a way to get into the assignment and feel as though I'm creating instead of working.... It does not turn out to be my usual quality. I hope that makes sense.

This is seriously... awful. The pose, the fabric, the face TERRIFIES me. Is this seriously supposed to be pro work? If this is a new artist, he needs to take some anatomy classes or he's going to bring down the quality of one of my favorite art studios.
I mean really, her left arm must be dislocated or something. Messy linework with absolutely no variation.... yuck.

This is not up to par with many of the other work with your studio. The pose is very stiff, the fabric feels unnatural, and the figure feels like it it sqeezed in a box and not in an enviorment. There is some major anatomy problems going on in the neck/chest area.
My advice is to really watch your composition and when in doubt get photo refrence or draw from life. Drawing from life is how you learn the tricks your trying to do.
