What? Laughs, I don't know enough about it to know about past lifes. I do know that Solar had at one point been in power but people rebeled and Solars were hunted to near extinction.
I actually want to create a setting where there is actually a place ruled by a first age solar and a first age lunar, having managed to excape being hunted down and finding a place where Solars and Lunars are less know. Yes I know that it is inlikely/impossible for there to be any first age solars left but this will be my setting, I will do what I can to justify it.

HERE IS HISTORY LESSON; Primordials create creation, they make gods to oversee it while they have fun tormenting new forms of life they create, sol invictus rises up with other gods and makes exalts, these exalts declare was on the primordials, and slay several of them, the world is then okay for awhile, but one of the primordials that escaped death, but is imprisiond convinces the dragon blooded to declare war on the solar and lunar dynasty, then starts the second age, and you know how it goes from there.

The funny thing about your history lesson is that to a certain extent, as the Exalted world is so complex and perhaps even conflicting, it's not nearly as simple as that.
In many ways it seems Exalted history is very, very confusing.

"Communist Robots From Another Dimension" is almost certainly over simplifying this awesome book, but damn, that's the way me and my group have always played them, and we love it.
