Description An ancient humanoid that resides deep in the secret mountains of Adu Mori. Bai Ze, based on the Chinese mythical creature of the same name, a name of legend and myth among the citizens of Adu Mori. This nine eyed, white haired beast is said to be an extremely powerful and gifted in the ancient art of Wu (old magic). It is said that this beast is hundreds of thousands of years old, maybe even older.
Legends say that Bai Ze use to live among the common folk long before the unicorns reigned, offering the wisdom of Qi and entertainment such as poetry and tales of old for all to enjoy. He is well adversed in naming and understanding all beasts that lived in Nymphoria, even ones that, to this day, have not been found by the Nymphorians. This knoweldge is called "The Gift of Wuxing Qi"; The Lifeforce of the Earth. His pure connection is what makes him all knowing of the fauna around him, making him one with Nymphoria in a metaphysical way. There are many things that even the all-knowing Unicorns fail to see or understand in Nymphoria. After all, he is older than the unicorns themselves, but is he willing to share such knowledge?
When the unicorns and dragons came to power across the provinces, Bai Ze's felt a dark and sinister pressence looming within their souls. Using his knoweldge in Wuxing Qi, Bai Ze communicated with the Lifeforce of the Great Mother, Nymphoria herself, to seek advice on what needed to be done. His  answer was to await the approaching of chosen individuals from across the 4 provinces; special people who can see through the treachery of these etherial beings. If he were to intervene and not let the people see the monarch for what they truly are, then Nymphoria would be consumed by chaos, depravity and perversion of the worst kind. Bai Ze quietly slipped away into the Huángshān mountains, were he began to medidate and awaited for the day to come. He eventually faded into obscurity, becoming only legend among the citizens of Adu Mori and the other provinces across Nymphoria (even the Long-Shen and Mori Unicorns doubt that such a beast exists, though some have their beliefs).
One day, a broken man named Shao Zhen came to his hiding place and sought his help to understand his true purpose; to understand why his whole life is nothing but a lie and what he must do, if he wants to do it. Knowing that Shao Zhen's heart is in the right place, Bai Ze offers his help, though Shao Zhen must first prove that he is willing to change, willing to look deep into his own essence and face the Trial of True Perception. If he is to fail, then Bai Ze may not aid Shao Zhen unless he is truly ready. In the end, Shao Zhen succeeds, albeit with great difficulty, and Bai Ze eventually agrees to overthrow the opressors, now that Shao Zhen understands the stakes at hand. With his strength, Shao Zhen, Bai Ze and the rest of the Adu Mori Ressistance managed to take out the tyranny of Empress Jiang Lin and scattered her forces into the wild. A victory worth celebrating, but Bai Ze knows that the war isn't over; for a greater more terrible evil lurks within the confines of a realm dampaning his abilities to see beyond the veil of Nymphoria. Will Bai Ze's efforts and wisdom be enough to combat this evil and will Nymphoria be finally free of the tyranny of the unicorns? Only time will tell.

Bai Ze's appearnce is based on the myths in Chinese mythology, though he has more Yeti traits, which could mean he may be more Tibetan than Chinese. He is certainly benevolent and has a moral conscious, he's even said to be a big, loveable softy at times, but he is not totally pacifistic. If someone were to gain the knowledge that he holds for nefarious purposes or even try to destroy Adu Mori with their cruelty, Bai Ze will not be afraid to defend what he values.
He even speaks in a language that has been dead for millennia, yet he is able understands other languages, thanks to his telepathic linguistic abilities (He cannot speak the language, but he is able to understand said language regardless). The language is a fusion of Sanskrit and Tamil but it could also be much older than either of those languages combined.

NOTE: Another Chinese Mythological character finished, and personally one of my favourites. I've wanted to do Bai Ze for a long time, but never gotten his appearnce down until I got the idea to make him more of a Yeti-type humanoid, just to make him more relatable and easily loveable. I hope I did this ancient chinese creature justice. Let me know what you think!
