Description
The greatest of all sphinxes throughout the ages. This enormous 18ft tall creature known as Lamassu is the largest of all sphinxes, only dwarfed by its superior Inanna in her beast form. As leader of the sphinxes, Lamassu commands the others as they wreck havoc across the many worlds under the bidding of their Queen of Heaven. The tale of Lamassu is steeped in ancient history long before the events of the Great Perversion, even longer than the events of Anrn's journey across Canaan.
Originated from desert-like world known as Nibiru, there were in fact many Lamassu that were genetically created to become defenders and guardians of their homeworld. They watched over the lands as their creators, the Anunnaki, attended to the duties of their chosen occupation. Many Lamassu were brought to Earth during the early conquest when humanity was primitive, becoming guardians of local chiefs to then enforcers of those who would dare rebel against the Anunnaki. As long as they patrolled the lands, the Lamassu were neigh unstoppable, until that fateful day. When the Great War between the Angels and Anunnaki broke out, the Lamassu were part of a great fighting force of Sphinxes, their strength and ferocity able to best a powerful Seraphim or even the Ones Beyond (the ancient angels). Their terrorism came to an end however as the angels proved victorious and drove the sphinxes to near extinction. Only two remained; the Lamassu of Babylon and Keres, the female sphinx of Macedonia. While the Anunnaki were not truly destroyed - many still ruled their respected kingdoms on earth with a temporary ceasefire - the Sphinxes, and by extension the Lamassu were all but memories. The last of the Lamassu became the appointed Guardian of the Anunnaki and the kingdoms of Mesopotamia until eventually becoming Inanna's personal guardian. During that time, the Lamassu mated with the Sphinx Keres in order to breed more sphinxes and bring back their glorious tyranny. After the Goddess's defeat 3000 years ago, The Lamassu quietly guarded her tomb beneath the ruins of Sodom as she began her slow process of regeneration.
There were many instances of explorers who accidentally stumbled upon her tomb, only to be devoured or destroyed by the Lamassu. Few have lived to tell the tale, yet none have yet to be believed. He is fiercely protective of his Queen, loyal to her cause to the end. Now that Inanna has fully regenerated to her full potential, Lamassu continues to serve and protect his her. The only thing that can truly stop this monster are the angels, or perhaps and offspring of the angels. A Nephilim or two? That is a fate Lamassu fears the most.

While the creature cannot speak, he is shown not only to have human-like intelligence, but the Lamassu also uses telepathy if he wishes, though rarely does he use such ability. And though Lamassu acts like a ravaging beast protecting its master, he has shown to be compassionate towards his mate Keres and his many offsprings.
Like all Sphinxes of Nibiru, Lamassu is extremely difficult to kill, not just because of his impenetrable skin against conventional weapons, but also to have a display of strategy and is not some mindless giant beast. He is also shown to be very persistent as he will not back down even if he feels overwhelmed.
