Description "Spartans never die? ha! What a load of crap..."
A lone female Spartan looks out on a metal crows nest and watches as uncountable Banshees, Phantoms and Spectres glide from the sky, to her location, her visor glistened from the fading sun.
She reaches into her back pocket and pulls out a large collection of dog tags. Each one had a story between her and a Spartan she saw fall in combat, while some are from fallen heroes, other are from damaged fighters who live their remaining lives as shells of their former self.
She held them close to her face and began to enchant a prayer.
"May those that live as shells remember me and I hold the line. May those who have fallen watch over me and judge my every action and kill I make. May the children of the future remember the sacrifice I made this day, the sacrifice I gave to leave my body behind and hold back a terrible force from pursuing our final hope. May my enemies learn to fear my name even after my bones become dust. And should my name be forgotten, let the songs of my battles continue to rage on through the years that have yet to come. I do not wish to die, but I am a Spartan, and Spartans. Never. Die."
She sighs and returns her dog tags to the pocket they belong and she readies her rifle. Ready to look death in the face and use his own scythe against him. Ready to face the impossible and make it look possible. Ready to lay down her life for the good of her fellow brothers and sisters of the future. She is a Spartan. She is the Cyan Phoenix.
