Description
Yismar Romo is tall, dark, handsome, and a wealthy engineer working for his best friend's company, but the road to success was an arduous one. Born one of many children to a poor family, Yismar grew accustomed to having very little. To make matters worse, he was born with a rare ability known as Geomancy. While its most powerful ability, Divination, taxes the user heavily, and a young Yismar had little control over it.

Despite his rough upbringing, and the drain from his ability, Yismar was a happy-go-lucky child. As he grew, he found a love for engineering and learned to control his Geomancy. But the years hardened his demeanor, and his time training made him a formidable force. Meeting John Canyon, the man who would go on to be his best friend helped Yismar relearn kindness, although he can still seem stand-offish to those who don't know him.

His fields of knowledge include engineering, history, and politics. He's confident, but never arrogant, stern, but never cruel, and although he's got a temper, he never lets it get the better of him. Wealthy, but not greedy, Yismar is loyal, but not afraid to call out his friends.

Techniques:
Geomancy - A rare, genetic ability. Geomancy increases the user's Earth magic abilities, allowing them to learn more advanced Earth magic with ease and draw energy from nature around them. While active, the user's eyes glow golden.
Geomancy: Divination - Geomancy's most powerful technique allows the user to view the past and present of a location. The more time spent viewing the world in this manner, the greater the strain on the individual, including potential brain damage. In combat, it allows a user to know what the opponent will do next.
Golem Fist - Yismar covers his fist in stones, before pummeling an opponent. Can also be used defensively.
Goliath Fist - An upgrade to the Golem fist, the stones are replaced by metals.
Summoning: Golem - Summons a creature made of rocks to the battlefield. While slow, its power and durability make it a threat.
Earth Power - Stored energy is unleashed from Yismar's chest, blasting opponents with a continuous burning, concussive beam.
Special Suit - Designed by Yismar and John, Yismar's battle armor outfits him with a rechargeable full-body shield, houses healing items in a compartment in the chest, and protects him if his Geomancy: Divination ability takes too much of a toll on him.

Behind The Scenes: Five months later, finally adding more to my Awakening universe. Yet another character that went through quite a few design changes, not to mention story changes. I ended up really liking how he ended up, though, and I hope you do, too.
