RED from my Dark Avenger Universe. This is his Phase II look.

Eric Johnson, nephew to powerful industrialist Samuel Johnson/ the super powered crime lord Power Surge, served as his uncle's right hand. After the death of his parents, Eric was taken in by Samuel, who was never the loving father figure Eric needed. Samuel spoiled his own daughter, Angelica Johnson, as a supportive, loving father, while child prodigy Eric was verbally and emotionally abused for reasons he never understood.

As a teenager, he developed revolutionary technology and made great strides for his uncle's company, including becoming his uncle's secret weapon, the armored mercenary known only as RED. Eric continually upgrades his arsenal with cutting-edge technology. As an adult, Eric became aware of the truth: Samuel had killed his own brother in order to secure total control over their company, increasing his power by engaging in deals with the criminal underworld. Eric began developing a suit of armor capable of killing Power Surge, but knew he'd need allies to ensure a victory.

RED has had various run ins with Dark Avenger. The first time they met face to face, RED easily defeated a battle-damaged Dark Avenger, who had barely managed to defeat Power Surge's mercenary duo, Parker and Princess, but chose to spare the young hero, knowing Dark Avenger would come in handy in the future. RED would later lead the attack that resulted in Power Surge's death, ending the reign of one of Dark Avenger's deadliest, most powerful foes, but giving rise to RED's rise as a villain with good publicity.

Cooperating with law enforcement to dismantle his late uncle's criminal empire, Eric retired RED, as he was now without a purpose in life. After his cousin attempted to restart her father's empire and almost killed Eric in the process, he began to create a new RED suit, this one designed to look more heroic. A new long-term plan formed in his head, as he took control of the company that was rightfully his, pulling strings from the shadows while performing feats of heroism as RED.

Eric is a tactical genius. His cool head and mind for strategy makes him a dangerous opponent. Nearly unparalleled in engineering and software development, he's constantly updating his technology. While not in his armor, Eric carries a variety of trick gadgets with him, such as a belt buckle that can project a shield to protect him, a wristwatch that allows him to electrocute opponents or pack additional power in his punches, and shades that allow him to see through walls. The capabilities of the RED armor vary from model to model, although they all grant him bullet resistance, super strength, the ability to electrocute enemies, a variety of special vision types, lasers, a drill that forms from his gauntlets, and have encrypted access to a private satellite. Eric is arrogant and doesn't work well with others. He doesn't like to fight, so RED is typically a last-resort.
