Brilliant scientist Dr. Catherine Kidman has earned degrees in biology, chemical engineering, and medicine despite her young age. Possessing a near-eidetic memory and an abundance of ambition, Catherine sacrificed her social life to achieve her goals. Once she earned her degrees, she realized how hard funding was to come by, and how isolated she'd become.

After a chance encounter with the vigilante known as Void, she ended up agreeing to work for him as his "mob doctor." He would provide generous funding for her advanced research, while she would provide her medical expertise for his injured men. She began to develop a serum to increase human abilities. During her stay with Void in his facility, Catherine began to learn more and more about him, her reluctance to join his cause giving way to full support. She fell in love with him, and him with her, but he refused to admit it, and refused to accept her love, knowing his journey would likely end in his death.

During the final battle against Void, with the man she loved up against the ropes battling three super heroes, and him having lost faith in himself, Catherine injected herself with her experimental serum and donned one of Void's prototype gauntlets. She battled Grave Maiden, absorbing as much of her energy blasts as she could, but the mix of serum, the faulty nature of Void's genetic-coded prototype gauntlet, and Grave Maiden's bio-plasma overwhelmed the doctor, causing her to collapse.

When she awoke, she found out the man she loved was being hauled to prison, as she had failed to save him, and that she'd undergone a permanent change. She was stronger, faster, more durable, could heal faster, and was hellbent on continuing Void's mission. She repurposed his gauntlet, making it her own, vowing revenge on the people who had stopped Void, with a special focus on Grave Maiden.

Doc Insanity's moniker belies her cunning and intelligence. Her willpower and genius makes her someone not to be trifled with, especially now with her new powers.

Behind The Scenes: I finished this micro a few weeks ago, but was hammering out her bio with her creator MrEtsam , who was a big help when it came to redesigning her for my universe. Very glad to be able to collaborate with him, and his contributions to the Dark Avenger universe has been invaluable.
