Er.. not exactly in my case
When I use ink - I use quill for it. The quill is very sensitive to pressure. Gel pen is kinda thick, and I cannot control it's thickness - that's why I don't use it usually

ha, I soundsilly now, but I use regular pen and ink. Sometimes I use my pigment liners for a finished sketch...:

Really nice sketch - I love the way Orochimaru doesn't look straightforwardly 'evil' or anything - but still doesn't look quite as content as the other two... something about his tilted head...
Great drawing anyways - maybe you should try to neaten it up a bit and render it with watercolour? That could look awesome

I think, Orochimaru wasn't the type "evil from the beginning", he was turning to it slowly, and I like to think that there were times when the sannin were really a team... Though, he was different from them, surely.

yeah... teh best villains are those who you can identify with and see how they got to be how they are. Pein, orochimaru and Sasuke all fall into that type, which is why theyre so interesting I guess
i'd love to see a colouring of it - but on the other hand don't bother if itll all be too much work lol
Anyways ... I must get back to my animating....

You're right.
It's one of the aspecta why I like this anime so much - there's no absolute evil here. Every antagonist is a human, with personal history (which mostly explains his motives).

I think I made a mistake here - Orochimaru should look a bit smaller: his height difference with Jiraiya is twice bigger than with Tsunade
