Etymology on Species:
It has the body and head of a lion and the hind legs, tail and wings of a bird. It is largely featured in Mesopotamian art. Statues of the Lion Griffin can be found in the temples dedicated to the god of war Ninurta.
In its body, the griffin is blessed with the speed, flight, and penetrating vision of the eagle and the strength, courage, and majesty of the lion.Height: 5'10" or 178 cm
Weight: 188 lbs or 85 kg ( without armor ) || 280 lbs or 127 kg ( with armor )

Leon is able to take to the skies at command in his human form. He is able to shringk his wingspan down to adjust to his lifestyle thanks to a few spells he's picked up along his travels.
Griffin form
Leon takes form of a Lion Griffin which is a Griffin with a head of a lion and the hind of an eagle. His fur/feather pattern is calico and has a 5 ft wingspan when in full flight.

Personality:
Leon is usually very jolly in his nature and is always seen laughing. He tends to get flustered a lot and stutters when embarrassed seeing as he gets embarrassed easily. He's also a hard worker and will even pull other people's weight for them.

Bio:
Leonidas or Leon for short was born near Athens, Greece in 1328 AD through a noble family of both Bird and Lion Griffins a like. His father helped aided the Byzantine Empire throughout their reign and began to teach Leon when he was of age. He grew up knowing how to wield a sword and protect children from danger while they were playing. He even found himself as a position as a Guardian to watch over the people but that was soon stripped away as he had failed in his duties to save a child being drowned by a Kelpie in a near by lake. The city and his people grieved and as punishment he was exiled from his birth town and stripped from the Guardian title as he walked around to have guilt and shame following behind him.

Throughout his exile, he grew up fending for himself in forest terrain from animals and people alike. His hatred towards humans began when he was being hunted down for his fur and feathers and was seen none other than a beast to them. So he thought, "If they me as a beast...a beast is what they'll get..." and struck them down.
It wasn't until he met a young Bird Griffin trembling in the canopy of a tree from a small pack of wolves. Leon thought of this as a second chance and helped rescued the young Griffin and found out his name was Zeke. He literally took Zeke under his wing and travels with him around the world after that incident and considers him to be a younger brother.

Being a Griffin and loving to any possible knowledge, he roamed the Earth and traveled around learning until he bumped into an unfamiliar school. Curiosity feeling his mind he enrolled himself into it to see what he could learn from it.

As semesters have flown by and watching what the school had gone through in the years he's been present, he applied towards his new home once old teachers have left. Hoping to help aid sudents with new ways to survive in the world.

Feathers being touched, people pulling on his wings
