Armed with a wider range of pencils and a new eraser tool, I'm starting to get back on track
This subject was fun to work with. I loved his eyes and lashes and his expression was really cute. I must admit his bangs flummoxed me a little. One of the interesting bits about the reference photo was that his eyes were in sharp focus and everything was in varying degrees of out-of-focus, especially his ears.
I'm still a little bummed to be behind with my portraits, but honestly, I wouldn't have been able to do this one properly without my new tools. They were crucial to drawing his eyelashes.

I'm hoping to finish week 14's portrait by Saturday, but I am seriously fatigued. Three of the past seven days have ended with me up past 2am.
