I was feeling pretty upset myself the other day, so I drew this to give release to my emotions. I've been getting a few more, how shall we say, less than friendly messages from other people lately.

For instance, someone recently noted me in private and told me to stop drawing pictures of Jesus and writing spiritual stuff, because it hurt their own image. Sure, I understand it perfectly if someone doesn't share my beliefs, but to tell me to renounce my beliefs simply because it makes the other person "look bad"?

Come on, how juvenile can you get? I don't tell you what to write and what to draw, so what gives you the right to do so to me?

And I've gotten a few more bashings on my stories (and not just the spiritual-themed stories) on FF.net. Thankfully, they were all anonymous, so I was able to get rid of them.

And my most recent unpleasant encounter was on YouTube. I made a comment praising Connie Talbot on "Britain's Got Talent", and someone else replied to my comment, in a not so nice manner. They could not have ended their statement any more bluntly: "Your an idiot, 08skydancer." (08skydancer is my username on YouTube.) Interestingly enough, people who go around trashing other people on the Internet don't bother to use proper spelling and grammar.

Well, naturally I deleted every last one of those nasty messages, but I continued to seethe inside for a while, and it helped to draw what I was feeling. I know I shouldn't let those people get to me, and of course I know I'll ultimately get over this and move on. Still, those guys hurt me.

It's like getting slapped in the face: you know you'll eventually recover, and it's not like your face is broken or permanently deformed, but the blow stings all the same.
