Here you are, mates! Another work of art, this time with Terence and his brother! I had this urge to draw Terence in the style of "My Little Pony", and I figured: "Hey, why not throw Tristan into the mix?"

And if you think this was easy, I spent the last three and a half days on this picture alone. It takes me so long in Photoshop because I go over each line very carefully, making sure it's neat and crisp, and I make sure there are no stray splotches on the screen (a scanner will do that, you know) and that every space is filled in with color. The more detailed the picture, the longer it takes to color it.

Now you know what Tristan looks like; he's not so different from Terence, just bigger and stronger and (in his opinion) more handsome. Tristan may seem like a snob, but he's not really a bad unicorn, and he and Terence really do care very much about each other, deep down. They are family, after all, and the only family they've got left in the world, so far as they can tell. And Tristan does provide comic relief for my story.

Tristan has been a tough character. I always knew Terence would have a brother, but I struggled with Tristan's name and looks and personality for several years before I was satisfied. His name used to be Thunder, but my friends persuaded me to change it, and "Tristan" sounds so much better. And he used to look more like Spirit, with a darker mane and tail and dark patches, but I didn't want to rip off someone else's character, so I just made him pure bronze, with lighter hair.

So, there you have it!
