Description
The story idea is simply that Rodimus' took his one man ship through a time portal searching for the missing Maximals and Predacons and ended up crashed on earth, nearly dead. Rhinox used a blank protoform pod to bring him back as a Maximal. Just like how Megatron became a dragon with the spark of G1 Megatron, Autobot Rodimus' spark made his maximal form a Pheonix.Kind of a mix of Depthcharge, TM Primal, and dragon Megatron's story.
Whatever this old figure Ive had in my fodder boxes forever is, I always liked that it can be transformed to either mode in under 5 seconds. Decided to turn it into BW Rodimus.
BW Deluxe sized (which is a little larger than modern deluxes)

if i remember right in the lore it was stated Rodimus is one of the first to take on the Maximal upgrades.

That looks AMAZING! I also love how poetic and fitting the whole Phoenix thing is. Now I'm wondering what figure that was, I thought it might have been Airazor but you said its a deluxe, she was only a basic at the time. Do you have any pictures of the base figure?

Wish I did. It was some old figure from the fodder box. Bought it over a decade ago. I have no idea what it was called or from.

man this is gonna drive me nuts, it doesn't look like transmetal airazor, did you do a lot of retooling because it looks a little bit like terrorsaur, or maybe it was a swoop knockoff?

Nope it had nothing to do with transformers. I know that much. The original head had a power rangers look to it but it wasnt PR either. Let me go do some googling....

Really like the concept you did here for Rodimus as well as the story you came up for him.

While Roddy isn't exactly my favorite character in the whole Transformers universe, I like the concept behind him, the story you've given him, and the overall look and feel you've put with this figure and I can look at this figure and agree that this is Rodimus Prime.
