1. No, they have to go into the category of the 3 that best fits. So multiple detachable limbs would probably be modular if the emphasis is on being detachable.
2. Not necessary, but cool if you can add it.
3. Entirely up to you, they can be a non-combat machine if you want, several entries thus far are.
