Renember this things... they were so annoying to take out in a light fighter... if you were flying a Z-95 or an unshielded TIE variant you were in trouble to take on them

I've always loved the Delta, except when I had to get behind it.Β  That model is awesome, as well.

I wonder how many of these ships I destroyed when I was playing the tie fighter game when I was a kid. Β

The camouflage patter helps it hiding in space forests.

I don't believe that the the the turret uses dual turbolasers, the ship and the guns themselves are way too small for them to be turbolasers. If I had to say what the guns were, I would say that the farward guns were laser cannons while the turret used heavy blaster cannons.
I'm a nerd when it comes to star wars.

The turret uses a dual light turbolaser, there were three forward-firing laser cannons in separate pods at the tips of the wings and tail fin, and there were two concussion missile launchers in the hull, with 8 missiles per launcher.

When I wrote that I didn't realize how much of a mess curtain parts of the EU were. Don't get me wrong the EU had stories we all know and love but some stuff didn't add up, and this was from a video game so the developers will do what every they want to makes sure that they're game is fun as it could be. Anyway I glad that you said light turbolaser because I still think the shuttle would have power issues is it had standard turbolasers.

Not a fighter.
Yet, you donΒ΄t want to find yourself in the firing arc of that beast.
Several cannons and a pair of missile launchers means it can thoroughly ruin your day.

Very interesting. It looks almost like a fighter than an escort. And sure don't want to mess with this baby.

ItΒ΄s bigger than the Lambda on which it is based.
It can be used to transport enter troops or high ranking officers as well as other VIPs.
But thatΒ΄s rarely the case, as these crafts are meant to fight on the frontline. Not a place for VIPs.
When it comes to flight, in the games i played they were nimble for crafts its size, but this still means they can be outmanouvered by heavy fighters or bomber.
But they are tough and have rear weapons with a good firing arc.

New meaning to "safe transportation", that thing could double as a gunboat. Aft weaponry is a good idea.

Depends on the game, in Star Wars Tie Fighter you had to escort them in at least one mission as an imperial TIE pilot.
But Star Wars Alliance also featured it on, from Rebel perspective, on friendly and neutral sides.
Basically though itΒ΄s an imperial design, so mostly you are spot on.
