Nice... Yeah, it's sad the direction SEGA has gone with their blue speedster. And come on? He gets turned into a werewolf next? Is SEGA trying to end his career? lol, anyway, what are those two other islands floating along with the Floating/Angel Island? I recognize the one to the right as possibly being the floating Emerald Shrine as depicted in Sonic Adventure but, I'm not sure, hugely out of proportion? I like the Hidden Palace Zone better. I think they made that floating Emerald Isle only because it had to be immediately reachable for Knuckles in SA, and they didn't want an unnecessarily long trip to the old palace. And for Eggman to easily blast the thing. But no wonder Knuckles has a hard time holding onto something he gaurds in broad daylight. Sorry for the long post, take care! (I'm hoping the RPG bioware is making will bring back some of the classic feeling, as well as patch-up recent plot holes, but too bad it's not a normal race-to-the-goal Sonic game).

I'm ok with long posts, but double-posts are UNFORGIVABLE.
Anyway... well, I tried to make some sense to the Floating Island and unite both from Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic Adventure. The one in the right isn't the shrine, it's the temple from the Mystic Ruins, where the echidna civilization used to live. I figured it must've fallen close to Station Square and crashed together with the rest of the island. The one in the left..... I'm not quite sure? I think it is a mixture of the Hidden Palace and the shrine from SA. I think I had it written somewhere in the net.
Ok. Found it. I was completely wrong about that island. Memory loss is a shit thing.
The island on the left is the Marble Zone! That bridge would be the one Knuckles breaks from Zone 1 (Angel Island) to 2 (Hydrocity), thus making Sonic fall into the ocean, luckily in a forgotten underwater ruin.
I should make this into a little self-explanatory map. Not for others, but for me, so I can understand this mess.
