I have been stuying the work of Art Wolf, my local big wig photographer. If you ever pick up a Outdoor Photographer Mag or Popular Photography you may have seen his work or read his writing. Anyway, I have been studying the art of seeing and Art Wolf is a good example of this. He can walk into an area and take hundreds of photos for hours and sell them for, oh lets say $2200. I wanted to try this. So this is the same water fall that I have been trying to get right for a few months now. I keep going back to pick it apart. Come Monday will be the real test now that I am in the frame of mind of what I am doing.

Here are some trick to getting this right. I purchased a box of slide film frames, large format to single out the area that I want to shoot. This helps me see if this is going to be interesting or not. Also, I don't have to set the camera up and waste time on something I find uninteresting. I got that from one of the Icons of photography, not sure which one.

What I am thinking for this water fall (Kubota Gardens) and the falls at the Bellevue Botanical Garden is Tao photography. A Zen like look at life throught the camera. This series I will call "Parts of a Unknown Whole"
