Description This lovely bone pin is nearly 6 inches long and carved from a deer leg bone. It is a reproduction of a pin discovered in Trondheim, Norway with an Urnes style knot.

Pins such as these were used to fasten your cloak and held in place with a leather thong which was wrapped around the tip in a figure eight.

Today such pins look lovely fastened in your hair. They're perfect for that gal on your list who loves archaeology or lutefisk- but we won't go into that.
