i know i haven't posted in a while, so i forced myself to squeeze this guy out. i experimented with a ton of layers and textures. not to worry--i'm still working on the requests and trades!

Kise Ryouta from the latest hit series Kuroko no Basket! It's a sports anime--a basketball one to be specific. for you sports anime phobes out there (which i estimate to be more than 1/2 the anime population) do NOT run away. I hated sports animes too before I watched this. i watched prince of tennis and i gave up on it before you can say "prince of tennis". but kuroko no basket...is super suspenseful and hilarious tied together in a delicious shonen blend. and not to mention the sexy bishies. KUDOS TO THE YAOI FANBASE FOR INTRODUCING ME TO THIS SERIES
many of my most faved artists are drawing fanart of these boyz so i thought i'd try it. was wary at first because, like i said, it was a dreaded sports anime (and i am extremely picky with the stuff i watch). i did not regret it one bit. you don't even have to know shit about playing basketball. you watch and watch and when you get to the end of the season, you're begging for more. definitely not the most original work of art, but it definitely gets your heart racing and your butt off the seat. and hey i admit, i found myself screaming at the computer monitor sometimes.

anyways, this sketch was done for my bishie study. i am trying to change my stlye of drawing and thus am referencing from all my fav bishie artworks. i referenced 's kise fanart for this sketch. this is a kindergardener's doodle compared to the original...my gawd sorry i butchered him! ;w; anatomy's off and everything...
