Hehehe Back then i wasn't using a tripod yet...those were the good times i was talking about...Just stood there and took the photo! Now if i got to go there again...i would probably get mad because my tripod would get all muddy and i'll waste so much time to level it...and end up taking a nicely technical photo...but without the feeling this old one has. So i need to ditch the tripod i think...hahaha

well if you keep taking photos and don't give up i don't see any reason why you can't be as good or even better? Of course talent plays a role...but talent alone doesn't do much if you don't try to learn new things and improve your vision

No problem. Yes i went to a photography college but i must say i saw a big improvement in my work 2-3 years after i finished it...not during the 3 years i was in college. Of course you learn a lot of things and you become more critical of your work. You know what to appreciate more and your eye starts to see differently. But i think it's after college, when you can choose to do whatever you want that you truly evolve having already this basic knowledge. Cause in college they make you do many different things and they try to help you find in what kind of photography you are inclined but sometimes that's just to much. It does take some time to truly see what you like. I always liked nature for example but in college they made me take studio photos, portraits that kind of stuff that i didn't really like. It was more about commercial photography but i don't regret it cause i have the basics to become a very good photographer at that too. So i guess it depends on your college too. Is it specialized to any kind of photography? or is it more about general photography?

well i guess i will just have to wait and see what i think after i am finished with schooling i have only gone for one year i have three years left so i have only taken one photo class so far o.O and i am on summer break right now but the first class was just general photography, and the assignments we were given we were able to pretty much take the kind of photos we like to take and didn't really have to do it her way which was nice. i am not sure what i will do with photography when i am graduated i like nature as well..i don't really want to be stuck doing studio/portrait photos but i don't know what will happen lol so now do you work for somebody else doing photography or do you have like your own business?

well there is no need to think from so early about what will you do when you'll finish college. Just have fun with it and try to learn all that it can offer you Tutorials on the internet about certain techniques are also really helpful. In my college we didn't learn how to use photoshop or what hdr is for example...i had to learn all that by myself. So if you like any specific style of photography do some research on your own too Nature photography is really nice...but unfortunately especially here in Greece it doesn't even count as a job...No one will pay you to go and photograph places. Only weddings and social events give out money and i really hate those...I've been unemployed since i finished college...and i'm really trying to get a job but things really suck here. Most well established photographers here have a really big idea about themselves and won't even give a chance to a new photographer by hiring them as a helper or something. Like they are afraid that the new photographer will be better and steal away their jobs...which usually is true...cause once they think they are established they don't care much about their work quality because they have a name and no one will dare to say that their photos suck. So it's like when i go to a job interview and they see my portfolio, they have this scared look in their faces and i never get the job...hahahaha...from one point that's funny cause it lets me know that i'm good...but on the other hand...i really need a job...I'm sure there it's much easier to get a job as a photographer and that people give chances...

jobs are horrible here right now. my sister and my mom are both struggling finding jobs after college..(my mom went back to college late in life) lol, and their jobs are even greater than photography..the odds of getting a job for nature are one in a million it seems. but that might just be because im a pessimist, or just realistic. but yea all photographers around here are just portraits and weddings and things like that. or you can go back to more schooling and learn to teach photography lol..i am not a hopeful person nor do i think things will work out for me, in the end i see myself living in my moms basement with about 47 cats and no job. but that is just the depression talking. im sorry you don't have a job right now :/ i still live at home for summer break so i dont rly need a job yet well i mean i shld have one but i am so depressed that i don't even move at all some days. school is very hard for me because i cant go to class when i cant stop crying and so i missed more days than i wld have liked too. but yea u prly dont care about all this lol

i see :/ that sucks...photographers are all about portraits and weddings here too. I prefer to clean toilets than do weddings Well you shouldn't be so pessimistic...it doesn't really help with anything...life is hard but not believing makes it even worse. I prefer to be optimistic...even if i seem crazy to be optimistic when everything seems to be hopeless. Someway,somehow something good always happens...but you have to believe in it...
