N.F.M.R. Case File

It had been 6 months since Australia when Ragido was last seen, when Fafnir razed London to the ground. That was a month ago.

We have been hiding out in a new hideout in the American Southwest. Our old hideout, UN funded, was busted almost a week into our stay. I'm still not sure why the UN is so fond of keeping us close, though I'm sure we'll find out.

We were saved from a combination of Sheymir's psychic powers and intervention by Dr. Arden, a friend of Franks that the UN has repeatedly tried to recruit despite numerous spurnings. He prepared a getaway and new hideout for us near his own compound, the equipment was better too. We tried to simply lay low, monster sightings were very sketchy and lacking in evidence, a bird in the alps, a giant goat, something in Florida, but none were all that big a thing like the last 'may-day' sorts of signals we've received.

We heard from the rather off-the beaten path Dr. Arden, who visited frequently, that the other major world powers had made their own monsters, and most actually were well-tempered and not destructive like Fafnir was, and most likely is still. A big lion, a fish, a turtle with cannons, and a wacky mutant kangaroo thing. . . South America had yet to come forward with a creature, and what serums were left were stored in a secret location, being studied and potentially copied into more.

And also, they had been called into action. A few monsters were sighted in various locations, monsters we had encountered before. The message was obvious, Kilwing was seen in Ivory Coast and Gladion outside of Canberra Australia. The two monsters in charge of the regions, Dedun the lion and the Bunyip were sent to deal, but things got much more complicated rather quickly. Kilwing, who we knew from past encounters, was a scrapper, capable of holding Ragido, Gladion, and Terruptor at bay, which last I checked is more than just one lion. The two duked it out for a while before Kilwing showed a surprising tendency for dirty fighting. When they got close to the shore, Kilwing suddenly took flight, something we haven't seen her do before, and Dedun, who was charging her at that moment, found himself in the Indian Ocean a moment later, slipping down a bank and suddenly struggling with another familiar face. Dedun, shown to be capable of swimming, was drowning because of eight tentacles wrapped around his body. It was Oddpodge, the rather quirky looking octopus monster from mexico. Things got crazier quickly when the big fish Bahamut appeared, though, tore one of Oddpodge's tentacles right off and freed the lion to approach shore. Oddy was unable to keep the faster fish away, but that was when Martellan the shark appeared. It looked like an all out brawl at hand, but the fight was suddenly interrupted by a tour boat that had gotten too close and near sank from the carnage. Then, something strange happened. The boat passengers were all saved, though not from the expected saviors. The boat was suddenly propped up on Martellan's side while Oddy gingerly scooped up everyone of the passengers and placed them on shore. The lion and fish, surprised at the actions, simply went back to their respective places of homestead. Kilwing had disappeared, and the other two were quick to vanish themselves. I heard the story in Australia was very similar, save that Fugulodon and Oarmystasis were the creatures to appear in support. It sounded like an odd event, then Frank had an odd thought. 'All of those six monsters have been summoned by Ragido in the past, so does the fact that they are out now mean anything to you?'. . .

FINALLY! Some real monster action! Even with the base change and the whole pointless drama thing this group faces gets so OLD. The whole accounts of the clashes in Africa and Australia were odd to me, but I have a feeling that this was a test of sorts for the new defenders of humanity, and apparently they passed. I thought Ragido was surely still kicking, and had sent them to study the new creatures to see if they were enemies or allies, though I think the jury is still out. It looks like a 'take it as it comes' situation.

Anyway, there are some moments when I am glad to have Sheymir with us when it counts. He puts radio to SHAAAAAAME! He sensed a cry from Mumbai, India, the people were being attacked by a giant Gharial that was cutting down buildings like they were paper with arm blades.

The situation seemed familiar to the ones in Australia and Egypt with the Saltie and Nile crocodile, which meant one thing. Ragido appeared within a couple of hours, looking the same as he had before. By then, we were already being flown there, courtesy of Arden's private jet.

We arrived to a rather odd twilight scene. The sun was setting over the scorched and sliced city, with two big crocodilians simply standing and facing each other, occasionally striking in brief, seconds long bouts. It felt like old times, he was back! And after all the rest, he was sure to be on top of the whole thing. But then Arden's radio picked up an odd signal, 'All guardians, assemble in Mumbai!'

Of course, that was only the beginning of the craziness...

(Alright! After all the guardian-ing, its good to get back to the story. Alright, for those read the bio for Sernak, you know what this guy is, for those who haven't, why don't you go and read it now?

Each of the crocs has a piece of Sernak in him, Ragido has the lightning, Denila the fire, Porossus the strength, and this guy the Blades and regeneration. He is more of a cutthroat in attitude than the others, though it only shows in his tendency to cut down the buildings he's seen.

Also, Gharials are a rare breed of kaiju on here, I myself haven't seen many.

Enjoy, for things shall get nutsier, as they usually do in my world.

I guess it's up to me to be the a-hole.

For whatever reason his design just doesn't work for me, though I love the blades and armor bits, the color just seems wrong for the monster. It just kinda blends together and makes him look a bit cartoonish. Normally this angle works for your monsters and remakes, but it just looks off here.

Well, if there's one thing to be sure of in this genre, its that its full of people with their own ideas of what works and what doesn't.

A-hole, no. Differing opinion, yes. The red and gold was all I could find that I both liked and made him look distinct from the others, so it will stay. Glad to hear the build works for you, though.

Yeah, everyone has his or her own ideas...otherwise there would only be a single fanverse. Still, I ave found that you have to be careful who you mouth off to, artists and their fans are touchy.

Eh, he looks a little thin, but it goes with the warrior battle body, so I understand why it's needed. The head looks alright and the overall stance is neat. However there is also something off about the jaws, can't put my finger on it though.

An epic design, and congrats on the first gharial kaiju. Although an Orinoco croc would've been more appropriate for a South American guardian. LOL

Thanks, though this guy is no guardian, at least not to humanity. He's a piece of Sernak like Ragido. South America will have a guardian that puts a whole new spin on flying monkeys.

I see a reference to Togera from War of the Monsters on him, mainly the organic blades.

Actually, Togera never even came to mind until I read the comment, but lets just go with you being right, the coincidence is too huge

Ahhhh another really awesome crocadilian kaiju. this guy looks really cool. that claw of his looks like a machete knife. he also has a really long snout. really awesome job dude, this guy came out great

Yeah i remember reading that awesome bio on Sernak. he was really cool. so this guy is the blades and regeneqatinn part uh? i figured what the others were i mean Ragido was obvious with his electricity ability and Porossus was obvious for strength since he was so damn ripped and huge lol.

Thankee, though the blades are more based off Indian Talwar swords with wider tips, though that rounds up about to a really long machete lol.

You've about figured Sernak out, the last piece to appear will be for flight and control over water.
