Description Baugnez War Museum, Baugnez/Malmédy, Belgium.

December 44, Battle of the Bulge.

The belongings of a non-commissioned Waffen-SS officer. His collar tabs identify him as an Oberscharführer (first sergeant). On the right you see his Iron Cross and his combat knife. At the back, his SturmGewehr.
There's a picture in one of the helmets, but I couldn't find the right angle to show it properly with the rest of the display.

All of the uniforms, equipment, insignas...displayed in this museum are period, not repros. During their respective retreats, both Allied and German forces left behind huge quantities of equipment, part of it in very good state. True eye-candy!

I believe the cap behind the SS Crusher cap is an einheitsmütze.

I have no idea. I saw this kind of hat worn by German soldiers - both Heer or W-SS - on period pics, but I don't know much about it.
