This is going to sound super lame. Sorry.After I read the book Anansi Boys I was thinking about how much I liked the idea of a dynamic between a tiger and a stoat character, so one day I drew this in my sketchbook. I did it really impulsively, so I didn't use any reference, which means that both animals look kind of wonky, but oh well. It sat on my hard drive for a long time, and then today I was in the mood to color something, so i colored this.

So cool! The one think I don't like, though, is that I'm pretty sure Tiger never had a sincere/happy smile for anybody. This Tiger looks positively cuddly. The stoat is perfect, though.

Very cool! I can really imagine the stoat going "So here's what we're gonna do" or something along that line. They might be wonky, but they still look nice. And I like the tiger's spots a lot.

Pretty rad. I think it works for the story that Tiger doesn't look totally like a tiger. He's described in the book as being sort of a composite of all predatory cats, so the elements of leopard and lion in there make sense. Love that book!

Its a great picture! But seriously... I can hear exactly what the stoat is saying. "We are gonna smoke so much weed!" But aside from my silliness, absolutely fantastic work.
