I don’t often get commissions involving mecha or machinery. I’m not complaining, really, because that kind of art can be really complex and it’s been done far better than I could hope to do it. However, that’s true of ANY kind of art, so...why not try anyway? (admittedly, it does help to have someone make a job of it, too)

I’ve drawn the character Alana (who belongs to ) before, but this is the first time I’ve actually drawn her in her “proper” context: piloting an Elemental battle suit for the Ghost Bear clan. And boy, howdy, I sure did enjoy it. It’s been a very long time since I’ve ever been near anything Mechwarrior-related, so I can’t pretend to be well-versed in the lore and machinecraft of it all. (Example: the heavy mech she’s taking down is kind of an amalgamation of chassis and loadouts that is rather unspecific). Still, I had a lot of fun drawing this and am pretty pleased with the results, SIR!
