Season 1 - Episode 3

While exploring the Delta quadrant, the Morgana finds what appears to be an abandoned Jem'hadar facility on a deserted moon. Seven conducts a series of scans from orbit, but nothing of interest is found, nonetheless the Captain decides to investigate. War time protocol calls for Lieutenant Jacques to lead a reconnaissance mission with marines. But Captain Crown has a very different idea of how to run things. He suits up and asks Seven to come along, which means the CO and XO will be leaving the ship at the same time. Jacques is shocked and begins to cite regulations, while getting looks of disapproval by Kala and Seven, but it does little to persuade the Captain.

After a useless argument, the Captain, Seven, Jacques and three marines beam down to the facility. They split to explore, and as they move through the dark corridors, a changeling appears to be stalking them. Two of the marines separate from the group, which leads to their demise. They are silently killed by the changeling when no one else is watching. One of the bodies is hidden and the other shot, to pose as being killed by Jem'hadar. The impostor activates a security system that was previously off, and the team finds itself under fire from automated guns in the corridors. Amidst chaos the changeling impostor rejoins the group and prompts them to evacuate. But Captain Crown refuses and calls for reinforcements. After a long shoot-out, they find a way to disable the system, and the automated guns are stopped.

After regrouping Seven realizes there is one marine missing, so the Captain orders a search. Eventually Seven finds the body of the missing marine, and she initially accepts the impostor's explanation that he must have been killed by the security system. After sweeping the base it seems there is nothing of value, so Crown orders the away team back to the ship. Seven has her doubts about the marine's death, but nothing of substance.

Now the changeling is on board, and the crew of the Morgana has been infiltrated by the Dominion... *insert dramatic music cue here*

Notes: This is the first time we see Lieutenant Jacques (wearing green), head of the marine detachment assigned to the USS Morgana. She was previously mentioned in episode 2.
