Description Today I had to do a test for admission to the art academy. Besides showing my portfolio, I had to choose one random sentence out of four and put my interptretation of that sentence onto paper. The sentence I chose was about a refugee camp near a city, with wet clothes hanging to dry outside and an absence of wired steel. I chose to draw/paint a portrait of a young infant refugee in black and white (with some blue ink) with an abstract organge/yellow background. I wanted to show that being a refugee obviously is not something to make you happy, therefore I chose to keep him black and white. The background is in color, vague shapes of lines with colourful clothing can be noticed but my aim was only to increase the contrast between the bright colors and the more depressing black and white.

This is wonderful I love the strong contrast and the rough way you applied the colors.
Do you already know wether you've been accepted or not? I'm just curious

Thankyou very much! Yes I've been accepted, very happy with it of course! But I think I'm going to another art academy where I've also been accepted.
