I think the thing you drew is actually called a snipe, due to the long legs and beak.

a snipe is a bird....a real life bird similar to a kildeer. so i think since this is your creature its probably gonna be called whatever you want it to be called. first wacom project works lol. what kind of wacom did you get ...a cintiq or whatever with the display?

Basically its an art tablet that hooks up to your comp and it comes with a pen like stylus... You use the pen to move around like a mouse and the tablet reads how hard your pressing and changes the oppacity or width of your strokes... very intuitive... Peace

I've got a Wacom at work and a Genius tablet at home... I can't work without a tablet anymore. Had them for a long time now... but your work is much better

I have "Intuos2 A4 oversize" and its great.... Tips and tricks??? Am... well just use it for every crap you do, to get use to it... I love the pen... its amaizing... Pressure and tilt sensitivity... eraser.... ah..... its heaven I tell ya... heaven!!!!

Are wacom's really that good? I mean.. I'm not especially gifted at digital coloring.. could a wacom help me at all? My strokes are a little weak, I think.

I think its well worth the money. The sensitivity to pressure makes everything more organic and quicker especially if you can draw in the first place. Its the Bomb!
