Dr.Schnabel tried to fight the plague many years ago. He saw the light after contracting the illness himself and decided to serve it instead as a demon of pestilence.On a completely unrelated note, this started out as a T-shirt print design!

Oh I can only imagine! Hopefully it was relaxing and hypnotic at some points. It's amazing what one can do with just a simple pen.

Oh definitely, it was lots of fun! There were technically 2 pens involved - ink pen and white gel pen.

A white gel pen is certainly useful, I never thought of using one. Thanks for the tip.

Oh it's super convenient, and white hatching makes for some nice contrast! I hate white liquid ink though, it's just super watery no matter the brand.

Love the penwork here. I took just enough art classes in High school to appreciate it. I'd wear that shirt. I have a real soft spot for Plague Doctors.

Redbubble lets you submit your artwork and allows you to print it on different types of shirts with different colors and everything. I got a shirt from them once. It seemed a little faded though, and they were a bit pricy, but the upside was the customization options. I was able to pick the style of shirt and color, and whether I wanted the design on the front or back. And I think they might allow dual sided prints.

Ha ha, I'd say I've had less of a 'pause' and more of a vacation! But I want to change that, I really do!
Y'know how you can just get tired of how lazy you've been and become fed up with it?

Yeah, sometimes you just look at your habits and go "ugh", because you should change it, but don´t know how/ don´t have the energy.
What helps me is, if I can´t think of a motive to draw, I simply don´t: You might know posemaniacs.com or artists.pixelovely.com/practice-tools/figure-drawing/ (both figure drawing tools). Just doing short bursts of drawing practice every day can take off the edge in my experience. Especially with music.

Yeah I find a lot of the time, since I really like to post my art (Though from my recent activity you wouldn't know it...) that I feel compelled to make every drawing a work of art, so I get worried about experimenting with different media in case of what people might think! What a fool I am! I'm going to try and get some work done tonight.
I find during the day I will get an intense urge to draw and create, but a lot of the time that while I'm soaking in the tub and I don't want to get out because... well, I really like the tub. So then when I'm out later I just can't maintain the same motivation.
Thank you for those! I'll have to remember to use them. I really would like to get in the habit of at least doodling once a day, just to keep myself fresh, I've been far too lethargic (and drunk) lately, and it's just not acceptable!

We all have our ups and downs. Just draw and draw and draw, it doesn't matter how badly or well!
Depends cause it's a joint account and we have different tastes in music with some bands in common. Maike likes gothic rock, industrial and sweet pop, sometimes metal - think Rammstein, The Prodigy, Apocalyptica, Blümchen etc. Maria likes metal most, as well as modern goth and medieval stuff - Kamelot, Candlemass, Ghost B.C., Subway to Sally etc. Oh and we both like a band called Morgenstern, except it's two different bands XDD

I've noticed that usually after a bit of a break from drawing I seem to get better once I get back into it. Let's hope it's the case this time.

Ah, I see, well that works out then, as far as I know those aren't vastly different genres. Pretty funny that there are two bands with the same name.
I typically listen to metal or hard rock. I used to do rap but I fell out of it and I don't miss it too much.

Well, we two work together exceptionally well, it's really lucky.

Well, I wouldn't mind getting a bit well-known, if only just so I got some well-paying jobs, Ha ha!
It really is! I always feel so accomplished when I actually try something different and it looks good, a lot better than the usual "Oh I've done this a hundred times, why doesn't it look right?!"
That's really cool that you've got a partner to work with, and one you can draw with as well. I really like having someone to draw with, even if it's just over Skype, I find it helps focus me even if we're not talking that much.
Hm, well, that's a bit tricky, since I really don't listen to much music, but I would have to say that I really tend to listen to Alestorm, Five Finger Death Punch, Devildriver, Billy Talent, Disturbed, and then there's the occasional ICP, System of a Down, Bond, and Mushroomhead.

Oh yeah, a partner can really help one focus on a project. Otherwise there´s the possibility of getting distracting and starting another one and another one etc. without finishing the first one.

That could be a problem too, eh. My 'partner' barely works on the comic when we are having our meetings, but I realized that it does little to tell him off. I'll be happier with it if I'm working on it on my own anyway. I just like having him there to talk to while I'm working and I think it benefits him as well.
Yeah I really like their first album, but I was also a big fan of Pray for Villains and The Fury of Our Maker's Hand.

Art partners are really hard to find, that can´t be over-emphasized. Even if you find someone you get along with splendily and that person has a talent for drawing doesn´t mean they have the discipline to draw on a regular basis. You can´t pull grass to make it grow faster. Sometimes you gotta work with what you´ve got and if this arrangement is what makes you happiest at the moment, then go for it.

I agree! I had a buddy who I once invited over and we had an 'art party'. It involved a ton of drinking, but surprisingly, we didn't get drunk or rowdy, we just did art. He worked on a really cool poster for school and I put my nose to the grindstone on a comic page I was working on. It's that kind of atmosphere I want to establish again. Another thing I would like to do is draw outside, but I'm very shy and self-conscious, and wouldn't like people to come up and see what I was doing.
Yeah it works for now... when we get around to having meetings, both our schedules tend to get a bit wacky so it's a tad difficult to fit them in, but hopefully we'll be back at 'er soon. I'm more worried about getting myself back into a productive state, I know I'm not really responsible for him.
